Gifted Girl wins at Pontefract09 July 2013

Gifted Girl (Azamour - Hoodwink [by Selkirk]) having been held up early, went into the lead inside the final furlong to win the Weatherbys VAT Services Pipalong Stakes Listed at Pontefract on Tuesday 9th July. 

"From winning a Listed race at Pontefract to contesting a $750,000 Grade 1 at Arlington Park. That's the plan for Gifted Girl, who confirmed her progressive profile when coming from last to first under Tom Queally to land the £40,000 Weatherbys-sponsored Pipalong Stakes.It was the daughter of Azamour's second win from three starts this season. She runs in the colours of Alan Spence and is trained for him by Paul Cole, whose son Ollie said: "We've always thought she was a very good filly and the plan is to go for the Beverley D Stakes at Arlington on August 17."
